Cannula Filters

Cannula filters are used when high levels of particulates are present to prevent particulates blocking the sample probes.

Different manufacturers recommend different filters for use with their sample probes. These are not always interchangeable because of differences in probe diameter.

Use the filters on the left to find the filters recommended by your dissolution system manufacturer.

Top Tips

Ensure Filters are Clean

If in-line filters are used it is important that a small amount of media is pushed back in the reverse direction to wash particles off the filter back into the vessel.

Failure to do this will result in particles staying on the filter. These particles have not only been removed from the media but may also produce erroneously high readings when the next sample is pulled through the filter.
