Vial crimpers, decrimpers and decappers
For crimping and decapping aluminium caps on crimp top glass vials and bottles for HPLC, GC, Headspace and other applications.
- Crimpers are used to correctly place the cap on the vial.
- Decrimpers remove the cap by un-bending and physically removing it. They are easiest to use.
- Decappers require more force and may bend or tear the cap from one side.

What is the difference between decrimpers and decappers?
Decapping pliers simply grip the cap and require a little force to pull it off the vial - this is fine for removing a few caps but soon becomes tiresome.
Decrimpers offer a controlled, low-effort method for removing caps - this reduces both sample spillage and breakages.
