Titan2 filters are produced to exceptional quality to ensure uninterrupted performance with consistent and reliable results. This prevents Titan2 filters suffering from common problems associated with syringe filters such as leaks and filter 'blow off'. In fact, their performance is guaranteed!
• Pressure rated to 90psi for unsurpassed integrity
• Sealing ring minimizes bursting and leakage
• Chemically resistant polypropylene housing
• Standard 1µm pre-filter available with many 30mm filters — providing increased sample handling capacity
• Sample distribution rings maximize filtration area, uniformity and speed
• Low extractable levels generate interference free data
• Unequivocal reproducibility: filter to filter, lot to lot
All Titan2 syringe filters are colour coded, providing easy identification of the membrane type and porosity.

Titan2 filters offer a considerable enhancement to throughput volume compared to the first generation Titan syringe filters. Although the original, pre-filtered Titan Syringe Filters were already an optimal choice over competitive filters, the new Titan2 Syringe Filters bring throughput value differences to an even greater level!
The graph on the right illustrates this improvement. Titan2 30mm, Titan Original 25mm and a competitor's 25mm nylon filters were evaluated for throughput. Orange juice from concentrate (diluted 1:4 with water) was passed through each filter. The amount of filtrate was determined by weight. Each filter type was tested in triplicate.
These results showed that the new 30mm nylon filters had a filter throughput of 4.5±0.9ml, over double that of the older 25mm nylon filters (2.0±0.2ml) and nearly 10 times that of the competitor's filter (0.49±0.1ml)!

Titan2 Filters are validated for HPLC performance and reproducibility by an actual HPLC standards run. Each lot is quality monitored for retention time, peak area, and peak shape of our NIST traceable, caffeine standard. This assures you of outstanding performance, reproducibility and zero extractable run conditions.
The graph on the right illustrates this test run for caffeine (4µg/ml) using an Alltech Altima C18, 4.6x250mm column at 25°C. Flow rate: 1.0ml/min. Detection: 254nm. Mobile phase: ACN/H2O (70:30).
