Following the popularity of the ColStor 30, HPLC column Storage System, and requests for larger storage capacities, LabHut are now shipping the ColStor 60, ColStor 90 and ColStor 120 systems, able to store 60, 90 or 120 x 30cm HPLC Columns.

In addition, the introduction of a novel mounting bracket allows any ColStor system to be expanded at any time as the user needs change. Everything is in stock and shipping now. 

Also introduced is a new tray insert for easy and convenient storage of HPLC fittings, small tools and parts. This can be placed in any of the drawers and further increases the usefulness of the ColStor system.

The increase in sales was partly due to the expansion of the Cronus brand into HPLC, SPE and GC columns, rounding further this range of products available, and partly due to markedly increased sales of lamps, vials and syringe filter products.

Labhut exports nearly 90% of its products and has enjoyed consistent growth year on year, necessitating a move to larger premises in late 2011.

2012 is forecast to see further growth with sales of LabHut's new Column Store HPLC Storage System increasing rapidly, and new variants on that product being introduced by the Spring time.

The new website is the result of many months of development and hard work by the LabHut team and their web developers.

The new site is based on a powerful e-commerce platform and features multiple layers of navigation to allow users to quickly and easily find the products that they need, shows pictures and detailed information for most of the nearly 6000 products on the site.

The Beta stage allows you to try out the site and LabHut invites anyone to complete the quick survey at the top of the home page.

This is the first stage of what will become a major resource for chromatographers and tablet dissolution chemists and the site will continue to develop and include more and more information.

Focussing on Dissolution products and accessories, the two day meeting was a great success, and everyone had a fun time in the historic town of Windsor, as well as learning in detail about the products and how to offer good support and advice to our customers in the fast growing sector of the LabHut business

Outstanding geometric accuracy in the vessel dimensions effectively removes the problem of variability in the curvature and inner surface area of the vessel – one of the biggest causes of erroneous results in the dissolution test using standard vessels.

Made using a thermal vacuum forming process, the diameter and hemisphere tolerances of the vessels are less than 0.15mm. This means the UltraCenter vessel can be used in any position within a bath. Furthermore, the vessels are compatible with most brands of bath allowing standardisation across all baths in a laboratory.

The vessels are designed to assist with ASTM calibration and feature accurate and permanent laser markings.

Significant errors in the dissolution test can occur if testers are not level and vertical on the bench. The verticality tester is easy to use and forms one of a suite of validation products available to test all of the physical parameters of the dissolution system and ensure errors in testing are minimised.
