The popular Cronus syringe filter range has been further enhanced by the addition of the new Pre-Filter Plus from LabHut.

Pre-Filter Plus is the perfect choice for high particulate sample filtration. Featuring a multi-layer Glass Microfibre pre-filter in front of a 0.45um Nylon membrane, the 25mm filter ensures the highest sample throughput and efficiency for difficult samples by capturing large particles that would otherwise block a normal filter.

Following their success in winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, Mark and Sheila Wardle, directors of SMI-Labhut Ltd, were invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace.

The reception was hosted by Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh for the recipients of the Queen’s Awards 2009. Princess Alexandra, The Duke of York and The Duke of Kent were also present.

Commenting on the occasion, Sheila Wardle said:

“This was a very special and memorable event, we are very proud to have been a part of it.”

SMI-Labhut Ltd were presented with the award in July by Her Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, Major John Eyre. The ceremony was held at SMI-Labhut’s offices in Maisemore. The County High Sheriff, Mrs Anne Chambers, and the Mayor of Tewksbury also attended.

The Queen’s Awards are recognised as the most prestigious business awards in the UK. SMI-Labhut Ltd have been recognised for their outstanding export and sales growth over a period of 6 years.
