Thanks for your interest in our new design. We won’t bore you with all the details, but would like to highlight some of the main changes to the site to ensure you can find everything you need.

Why did we change the site?

Back in February, we conducted a survey to find out what our users thought of the website. From these results, it was clear that there were issues with the previous design. Comments such as ‘too colourful’ and ‘too busy’ were common.

What’s different?

Improved Products Menu: This gives so much more space to highlight our full product range and make finding what you want simpler and faster.

Online Ordering: A link to your shopping basket, plus the number of items it contains, is shown at the very top of each page. To place your order, simply view your basket and start the checkout process.

Search: In common with many other sites, the search box is now located in the top right corner of every page.

Login: We now have a separate page for the login form. Simply click the ‘Login/Register’ link at in the top right.

What’s next?

SMI-LabHut rounded off the ’show season’ last week at Analytica in Munich.

This was another exceptionally busy show with visitor numbers up some 20% on the previous event in 2006. With so many distributors in one place, we were able to develop both exciting new opportunities as well as reinforce our relationship with existing distributors.

Our new container for waste solvents, the SolventSafe made its show début. The SolventSafe safely collects and stores hazardous solvents and vapours from up to 9 sources simultaneously. The HT400E automated SPE unit continued to generate a lot of interest and we expect to see significant sales growth with this product in the next 12 months. If you are interested in distributing this in your territory, please contact us for a discussion.

We also found a great deal of interest from distributors in our extensive range of Cronus chromatography accessories. We have been steadily building up the Cronus brand over the last couple of years to reintroduce branded, quality consumables into a market flooded with inferior, generic products.
